She's amazing!
P.S. Extremely excited about tomorrow: senior ball.

major update
Like I promised...I'm back!
This is a major update because there's a lot to catch up with you guys
and
the last two weeks have been all about indulgence,
which means that I've bought loads of stuff
and drunk a lot of hot chocolate.
And naturally I want to share my purchases with you.

This knit dress is by Marimekko (designed by Samu-Jussi Koski).
I bough it at a reduced price in the nearby Marimekko store.
I love the pattern, the softness of the material and the little bow.
The colouring is just black and white, of course.

This dress is also by Marimekko (and designed by Samu-Jussi Koski).
As you can see, it's not ALL black and white, there's grey also!
It's comfy and it'll look stunning with army boots.

These pics aren't the best possible but, as you can see, it's a pink and orange shirt by Marimekko. I like the 3/4 sleeves and the v-neck. It's not the most basic Mari-shirt.
This also fits perfectly with the colourful spring fashion!
Can't wait to walk in the sun, wearing this.
It's impossible to feel down then.
I've also bought a couple of books lately.

Face Hunter! The mother of all street style books.

The Sartorialist! The father of all street style books.

The Polaroid Book! (This is the anniversary edition.)
After seeing this book I feel like I REALLY need to buy a polaroid cam of my own.

Rosa Liksom's Yhden yön pysäkki.
This is full of harrowing and interesting short stories in finnish.
Moreover, I've been a lot into German movies.
So I bought these to ease my hunger of good movies.

This made me laugh and this made me cry.
Beautiful.
The DDR-part is also very inspiring in every way,
even though I probably wouldn't have wanted to live there.
Still, there's something magical about DDR.

This is Das Leben der Anderen (The Lives of the Others) and this made me cry, too.

Das weiße Band / The White Ribbon
I haven't seen this one yet,
but I think it's most likely
amazing
and very close to perfection.
And the last item on my "what-I've-bought-during-the-last-few-weeks"-list
is this

It's by Kalevala Koru and
it's for "the senior ball" at my school.
Love it.

live fast, die young - the reawakening
My life has been so hectic for the past six months and time's been running out all the time...
so this blog was a bit like James Dean: it lived fast and died young.
The only difference is that I'm going to bring this little fellow back to life during the next few weeks!
(which I can't do to Dean even if I wanted to)
While waiting for the comeback, you can check out this:

earrings or a watch?
I've decided to buy a pair of earrings or a proper watch but can't decide which one.
Inevitably I still have to make a choice 'cause earrings + watch = too much.
I'd love to have a pair of "pearlish" earrings (they don't have to be real pearls.)
So the best candidates are these beauties from Kalevala Koru.
They're so feminine and so Audrey Hepburn and so perfect but at the same time they're modern.
With these on I could travel back in time and walk on the streets of NY or Rome in the 50's and dance on a fountain (or not).
However, I'd also like to have a new watch, one that looks more like a piece of jewellery than an actual watch. I'm sure that with this it would be easy to keep track of time.
This watch is feminine too, like the earrings, but has a lot more character in it. It's simple but the D&G letters bring a little twist and it still doesn't feel like you're carrying an ad in your hand. And the colour is so nice and neutral that it goes well with anything.
What should I do?
Get lost in time or know what the time is?
